Our mission
To provide an innovative learning
experience where visitors can discover, enjoy, and appreciate the many
wonders that embody the world of marine science in Volusia County.
Our programs
Our School
Field Trips offer four different components; a tour through the
exhibit gallery, a visit to the Sea Turtle and Seabird Rehabilitation
areas, and a educational program beside the Ponce Inlet at Lighthouse
Point Park beach.
-
Kindergarten through twelfth grade can be accommodated. Field trip
curriculum covers a range of environmental topics from endangered
species to Florida ecosystems.
-
The
programs offered coordinate with curricula objectives of Sunshine
State Standards. For further information and codes covered, please
see the
Sunshine state standards
(pdf format).
-
Students
will have an opportunity to make purchases in our gift shop with
approval from teacher. Please let the coordinator know when registering
if your school wants shopping time.
