Pioneer Settlement for the Creative Arts, Inc.

This non-profit organization was founded by a group of artpicaug.jpg (9757 bytes) teachers in 1976 and is housed in the Old Central School of Barberville. The founding purpose was to preserve and educate about the arts and activities of early settlers. The settlement includes collections of folk art, blacksmith, woodworking and pottery shops, and an authentic log cabin. West of State Road 40 and U.S. 17 intersections. The settlement is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays.
